Mulligan
Proud to Represent the People of the 55th District
January
9, 2001
Springfield…Anxious
and excited about the upcoming two years, State Representative
Rosemary Mulligan joined colleagues on the floor of the
General Assembly as she was sworn in for her fifth term
as State Representative.
"I'm
very proud to be serving the residents of the 55th District
again. Since 1955, I have been proud to call these communities
my home," said Mulligan (R-Des Plaines). "It is both an
honor and a privilege to once again serve the many friends,
neighbors and community members that have helped to establish
our fine district."
Upon
first being elected to the House in 1992, Mulligan quickly
became a leading activist on a number of issues, including
health care for women, improved educational programming
and stricter penalties for criminal gun users.
During
the upcoming two-year term, Mulligan is looking forward
to working on numerous measures including work towards a
further expansion of the state's model Circuit Breaker Program,
and a permanent removal of the Gasoline Tax.
"The
next two years will be busy ones, however, I look forward
to each moment as a Representative in Springfield and throughout
the communities of the district."
Mulligan
can be contacted at her district office (847.297.6533),
located on Lee Street in Des Plaines, where she enjoys meeting
with residents and community leaders. The 55th District
includes Park Ridge, Des Plaines and portions of Glenview,
Niles and Rosemont.
