Mulligan
To Be Briefed By Governor on "Domestic Preparedness"
October
10, 2001
In the
aftermath of the September 11 tragedies in New York and
Washington D.C., State Representative Rosemary Mulligan
(R-Des Plaines) has been invited to attend the Governor's
briefing on "Domestic Preparedness" scheduled
for October 15th in Springfield.
"Our
country has suffered a great loss with the recent attacks
and it is now critical that we band together as a nation,"
said Mulligan. "I think that this briefing will help
legislators to gain a better understanding of the state
of domestic preparedness in Illinois and allow us to look
into and draft legislation to better protect the citizens
of Illinois."
Governor
Ryan will brief legislators, constitutional officers, Supreme
Court justices and select local officials on the State of
Illinois' Domestic Preparedness at 12:00 noon at the Illinois
State Police Armory in Springfield next Monday.
